Thank you for visiting my page.  As you can see I am adding to my educational technology page to build a more mom friendly page in the goal of supporting moms who are interested in raising a child who is beyond ready for school by the age of four.  I am hoping to add at least one to two tips per week so please be patient with me as I navigate managing being a mom to a toddler, a wife, and my work life as a digital literacy coach within public schools.  

What is Numeracy? Why is it Important for my Child?

Numeracy is not complicated math.  It is basic understanding and use of numbers within our daily interactions.  When your child starts to realize that counting tells us the number of apples in a box or blocks on the rug, that is basic numeracy.  Your littles can build numeracy skills t as early as 6 months of age.  There is a progression to building numeracy skills.  watch this video for some tips on how I used this math cube box with my son.   Also don't forget to click on my blog page and leave me your positive comments and or your feedback.  Much love!
